Stormwater treatment is the process of removing dirt, oil, trash and much more from runoff water. Several different options are available to pretreat dirty water and meet city, county and state regulations.

Many cities look to New Jersey to set the standards because of their progressive stormwater programs. Our products are used across New Jersey and we’ve received field test certification for the Aqua-Swirl and Aqua-Filter in the state. ​

One option is to use hydrodynamic separation technology. This type of system has no moving parts and operates under gravity flow. The Aqua-Swirl® Stormwater Treatment System is lightweight, effective and comes in multiple sizes to fit the needs of any project.

The a hydrodynamic separator is optimal for:
  • Difficult projects where size is a factor
  • Light weight alternative to concrete devices 
  • Generally allowing for a smaller footprint
  • Removes coarse solids and floatable pollutants that can rapidly clog other Best Management Practices (BMPs)
  • Works well as a retrofit to meet new regulations
Another option for stormwater treatment is a post-construction flow-through device that combines a hydrodymaic separation technology with a separate chamber to provide filtration treatment. 

​The vortex separation removes gross pollutants prior to water entering the filtration chamber and is ideal for projects requiring discharge around sensitive water. The Aqua-Filter™ stormwater filtration product is available in high quality, long lasting Polymer Coated Steel (PCS) and High Density Polyethylene (HDPE).
