Easy Installation, Inspection & Maintenance
The Aqua-Guardian™ insert has been designed and fabricated using lightweight and durable High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and has no moving parts or on-site assembly requirements. Inspection and maintenance activities are simplified. Easy and open access to the centerpiece assembly and filter container can be accomplished directly from surface grade. |
Proven Performance and Functionality
A high level of treatment is provided by the Aqua-Guardian™ given its ability to effectively capture and retain a wide variety of contaminants and materials. Independent laboratory and field testing confirms that the filter media used in the Aqua-Guardian™ achieves superior sediment removal efficiency while maintaining a high sediment retention capacity within the filter media itself. |

Compatible with LID Designs
Low Impact Development (LID) design practices can be enhanced or complemented by the Aqua-Guardian™. Pretreatment for rainwater harvesting systems that use underground or above ground structures can include the Aqua-Guardian™ insert. LEED Credit
The Aqua-Guardian™ may provide one (1) LEED 2009 Credit for Sustainable Sites (SS) 6.2, Stormwater Design - Quality Control. This credit is considered to meet the SS 6.2 criteria whereby the filter media used in the Aqua-Guardian™ has completed independent testing to demonstrate 80% TSS removal on a net annual basis. The insert can also help contribute to gaining several other credits within the LEED program.
